My own evolution was very similar to yours, Peter. I found myself defending the Iraq war because the ‘opposition’ painted him as a babykiller using the bodies for oil. It was hard to fight that argument while making the point that he could just be wrong. They wouldn’t accept ‘wrong’ bush had to be a demon.

I’ll still defend Bush some, he let Lehman Bros fail before giving large sums to banks to cover bad decisions.

Very well written, you touch on many important points. I’m not specifically a “Ron Paul Supporter” but I do believe in many things I hear he believes in to. Everyone should have the innate right to live their life as they see fit as long as that does not infringe on the right of another living creature to do the same.

Very well written article. The views hold good to people of all nations and governments. Its time that we changed the old practice of backing party politics and rather base it on principles.
