David began investing in stocks when he was 12 years old in 2005, and soon after he was writing about stocks and business on The Motley Fool. His interest expanded into economics and public policy after hearing and learning about Congressman Ron Paul in 2007 during the presidential debates.

David is currently attending Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. In April 2012 he was elected Student Government President at Berea College.
