Mitt Romney is dangerous. Barack Obama is dangerous. Neither of them want to leave you alone. Neither of them want to end needless and atrocious wars overseas. Neither of them will dare espouse an original thought. Both are pawns. Both want to use government force to their advantage.

But go on, get emotionally attached and vote for one of these stooges who couldn’t care less about you. Oh and, of course, blame those of us who resist the nonexistent urge to cast a vote for Tyrant A or Tyrant B.

Unfortunately, this point is not easily understood by people continue to spout the dogmatic and rehashed excuses in support of the two-party system. In reality, it’s a pretty simple concept: don’t vote for what you don’t want. There is no reason to get emotionally attached to these two corrupt, hypocritical, and tyrannical political parties.

Paul Ryan talks a good talk (sometimes), but in the end he votes for more spending, more government intervention, and military adventurism. Romney doesn’t even have anything close to a coherent and consistent philosophy or record.

And no, I am not voting for Obama/Biden either. Nothing will change so long as we continue to support these two mega-parties that have actively participated in the destruction of individual liberty both overseas and domestically.

According to ongoing discussions with Obama aides and associates, if the president wins a second term, he plans to tackle another American war that has so far been successful only in perpetuating more misery: the four decades of The Drug War.

To believe Obama on this issue is to ignore the blatant hypocrisy of Obama’s drug policies and enforcement through his Administration. Obama’s campaign rhetoric in 2007 proved to be wildly off course from the policies he pursued as President. The Justice Department, per Obama’s orders, are raiding and shutting down medical marijuana dispensaries in  states such as California that have nullified federal anti-marijuana laws to allow the sale of medical marijuana to licensed individuals. Here is a dispensary establishment in Sacramento, California, that was shut down earlier this year following the new policies established by Obama and the Justice Department:

Even the Bush Administration let states set their own course with medical marijuana policy; thanks to Obama, the federal government is overriding state policies that have allowed for the peaceful sale of medical marijuana. Obama’s actions as President (not campaigner or politician) have deliberately propagated and expanded the Drug War to new heights in its abuse of peaceful individuals, community destruction, and ignorance of the facts.

An explanation of why I am no longer supporting Rand Paul. I supported Rand when he ran for Senate and donated to his campaign, I’ve been his constituent for two years, but I cannot support him any longer after his endorsement of Mitt Romney.

In his latest video, Tom Woods explicitly states that Ron Paul is under an enormous amount of pressure to endorse Mitt Romney under the guise of helping Ron’s son, Senator Rand Paul. Rand endorsed Romney on June 7. Will Ron Paul resist the pressures to endorse an anti-liberty, warmongering, neoconservative Republican presidential candidate?

I am one of those individuals whose life was radically changed because of the liberty philosophy Ron Paul espoused in the 2007-08 presidential election cycle. Endorsing Mitt Romney would be a heartbreaking change of events. However, as Tom Woods said today, “I have excellent reason to believe that there is zero chance Ron Paul would endorse anyone like Romney. I do not have the same confidence in every individual who has his ear, though.” Ron’s greatest weakness is with whom we trusts in his “inside circle,” whether it be with Campaign for Liberty or his presidential campaign (Jesse Benton and John Tate are noteworthy in this category).

Stay strong Ron, and follow the same guiding principles that brought you to this point and built the revolution that we have today. If you maintain that through this election process and resist the temptations of the establishment and those that would profit off your political games, you will indeed be a prime contender to be the Thomas Jefferson of our day.
